Just under an hour out of Adelaide you will find the spectacular McLaren Vale where some of Australia’s best winemakers have made a name for this premium wine-growing region. It is here that we find the Shingle Back Winery where the Davey brothers have taken the reigns from their Grandfather to put their family’s vineyard on the map.
Red and white drinkers will be happy with the extensive range on offer that the brothers pride themselves on. The family specializes in producing the likes of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon tipples. But if you’re more of white wine drinker then not to worry because the smaller plantings of chardonnay and Semillon also offer a delightful taste. The brothers take a modern and minimalist approach to winemaking meaning they let nature do its thing to allow for the fruits to really shine.
